Snow

It's powdery and cold in the grass. On the sidewalk it's ugly, gray, slushy, dotted with footprints.

After a hike through the cold, I love to feel my thawing fingers and ears heat up and turn pink as they warm up indoors. Ahhh...

Speaking of snow, my school has been raining cats and dogs. This week has been a proverbial flurry of activity. I've been working constantly, but I'm constantly behind!!!!

I've started reading through Spurgeon's Sermons. It was a whim, but I'm enjoying it a lot.

And I'm supposed to meet Mama at the Seretean Center in ten minutes. What am I doing blogging in the library? Hmm. I'd better run.

I've really enjoyed Spurgeon's sermons too. Man! School is a flurry of activity isn't it? Perhaps everyone is trying to get caught up from the snow days? I feel as though I barely have time to breathe and probably shouldn't taking the time to leave this comment ;)

It's so pretty. But I hope you all will still be able to come tonight! Next week is going to be extremely busy, preparing for the week after that: I have three papers and an exam!

Well, school might be a flurry of activity if it didn't keep on letting out for snow days!!

Yep, today is yet another snow day.

:-)

Mari: You sucker. :)

FB: Guess I'm not coming after all! I'm sore about it (just a little), so don't tell me what I missed. :o) Providence has this way of conspiring against my plans to Not Do School. Last time I had an overbooked Thursday right before a test, we got the whole weekend off for snow!

Shadow: Spurgeon is great. I especially liked the sermon on Is. 45:22, when (as an aside) he lists the five points of Calvinism in his sermon, as an example of the most concise and Biblical doctrine of salvation ever written.

Because-- I've met so many moderate Evangelicals who claim Spurgeon as their model theologian, to the rejection of "extreme" John Calvin. Spurgeon was actually an outspoken supporter of Calvin....

I wish we'd get a snow day. >:(

FB--I was being silly. When I got the email, I read it through without a thought to my previous wishes, and thought it was grand. l

That's a bit embarrassing... (is "fickle" a good word for my malady? or is it a case of meaningless speech? Don't answer that question. lol.)
