This is just to let you know...
I played violin at the Sushi House tonight. ^_^
Their Friday-night pianist is my accompanist. She plays show-tunes, Chopin... I'd go to the Sushi House just to hear her play.
Papa and Mama took me out to dinner. We had bright conversation and a good time. I got to dress up a little, which was fun.
There was this beautiful family there that made me smile. Five little curly-headed Hispanic kids, all as sweet as sugar, and as happy as daisies, shepherded by two very happy parents: a woman with fine eyes and bright white hair, and a gentle man perhaps in his late fifties. They sat in a long line around the man at the wok, cheering at the tongues of fire leaping from his pan as they ate their rice with chopsticks.
It was hard not to just watch them all the time.

I know what you mean about the little kids. There has been a family that moved in next to me in a tiny tent trailer for a couple of days and they have three towheaded little ones, I peak out the window from time to time while working on power series or something :)
I'm glad your time at the sushi house was so delightful. It's fun to get to be with one's parents when it's just oneself and not all the siblings (I've been privileged with that on Sabbath evenings many times this semester). How did the playing go?
So, you played for everyone at the Sushi House? Congratulations! What fun...
Sounds like fun... : )
