strictly autobiographical
Ever since Monday rolled around I haven't had much time on my hands.
The retreat left me in a disoriented daze for most of Monday.
Tuesday I had a therapy session, violin lesson, homework to polish and turn in, and the second night of a four-time babysitting job this week.
Violin lesson was pretty funny, if you were there... >_>
Especially the etude..
*plays extremely accidentally wierd arpeggio*
Mama: WOW! That was good!
*plays Emaj. argpeggio*
Mama: o_O I shouldn't have spoke so soon...
*attempts to hit high E on the A-string, which is at least eighth position...*
It was the musical equivalent of rifling through a suitcase:
*digs, digs, digs, etude becoming a greater wreck every minute...*
String: "EEEEeeeeeeeeeeeee"
Me: I FOUND IT!!!
<_<
>_>
Oh, and for your friend and my sister's distinct annoyance...
let me post a couple rhetoric style assignments. I imitated two sentences (not shown below) in the following ways:
~The audience in every seat is hushed at last, the senior citizens to savor music and the students to take notes. There is a glory to the concert hall, but it belongs to the concertmaster and composer, the conductor and the crowd.
~The laser lab in all respects is hazardous to the eyes, the ducts and glass boxes of the test module and generated graphs of camera. There is a delightful mystery in this place, but it belongs to the grad student and professor, the laser eye and safety glasses.
~The security light shone. The stars brightened, the dew of early summer fell, the delight, despair, and derision of sleepless girls. Before first light they crept into the tent.
~The lecturer droned on. The eyes glazed, the responses faded, muffled speech, laughter, and rustle of notebook paper. All too quickly the audience slipped into a coma.
