~Boredom is not an option
Creative titles are not a strong point on this blog. . .
Here's a summary of what's gone on in my life this past week:
~I started reading Corinthians (last Tuesday).
~I taught Chris and Calvin their school for two hours a morning, three days last week.
~Ghillies (Irish dance shoes) came in the mail
~I lost and found my grandmother's cinnamon roll recipe, just as I'd promised Mama to make some on
~Saturday (it fell out of a stack of books on my dresser just this morning)
~played Taboo at youth group on Wednesday (Scratch and Sniff: desperate hinter finally calls to his buddy,
~ITS HOW YOU KILL A BLONDE!)
~had a crisis or four (those always happen on the best of weeks. X_X)
~One of which was that the Internet didn't work for two days straight.
~We fixed it in a rather anticlimactic fashion on day 3...
~read The Screwtape Letters
~started cramming for the NLE (which will be in March),
~for the first time in three years, feeling an urgency to KNOW MY MYTHOLOGY. (dumb stuff!)
~missed the Christmas parade, listening instead to LEAHY borrowed from Perv, who borrowed from GW.
~crocheted my scarf to about 18 inches
~received a letter in the mail
~did neglected homework, and some not-neglected stuff as well...
~had the grandson of Karl Marx at the house from Saturday night to Sunday
~played with Nova in nursery on Sunday morning (he's become a little bundle of laughs)
~went to Enid last night
~petted the cat and didn't get an allergy attack
~and finally, on Monday, wrote the most boring blog post possible (under such exciting circumstances).

Yikes...sounds busy and fun.
Your already cramming for the NLA? My latin teacher JUST sent out information to start sign up for it, if we wanted too...I'm not entirly sure that I'm going to take it. I have to decide very soon though.
I guess you probably need to study much more though since your much farther in Latin.
Oh I must go...ttyl.
Lydia
'Twasn't boring at all.
Who are Scratch and Sniff? JDP and SN?
Looking forward to your dance recital this weekend. Hopefully, I'll be there. *crosses fingers*
Oh, yes, I hate it when a recipe or some other piece of information goes missing just when you need it, and you don't find it until too late. That's the way it was with S's soccer jersey. He needed it for a game one morning, couldn't find it, and so had to play the game in a borrowed jersey. When he got home, he found it. *cough*
I thought it was a humorous blogpost...:)
Lydia: My teacher does not command, but only Very Strongly Recommends that we take it. And that only means one thing, right?
When he told us that registration was $5, I wryly remarked that I'd got a flu shot for $5 too...
Also, The Teacher puts high expectations on us, because he is SURE that our textbook is the best in the world (ergo, students should also be best in the world).
Which puts me in no small bind.
I'm not at all worried about the test. I earned silver medals both years I took it, without any studying whatsoever. That was only excusable because our book did things out of traditional sequence. Now, I'm supposed to be above such things.

And that's about as much of my "Woes of Latin" spiel as I should give out under such circumstances. ^_^
I'm glad you all found my post amusing. And Frodo: it was SRP and PJN.
um...I was reading your xanga...the fighter pilot movie was actually about an F-15 mainly. It had an F-16 in there, but the main pilot flew the F-15...just in case you wanted to know that!
You know that picture you have on your Xanga as your profile photo? Well, I have it as my desktop on my computer. This afternoon when Tara came into my room she saw that picture and really, really liked it--the blue of the lake, and your sweaters, and your arms upflung. She said that Vinca's photography was really good, and that now that picture of you and your littler sister is her fourth-favorite picture "in the whole world". :)
: )
:-)
Wow. Eventful week. Condolences for the internet thing (I know how you must have suffered! *pat pat*)
I'm crocheting a scarf too XD. It should be done soon.
Missy: Thanks for the correction. I'm an aerospace dunce. What does the F stand for? From whence cometh the "15"? I dunno!
Frodo: I'm glad your friend likes the picture. It was posed. I made the splash, Anna took it on the count of three, and we were all very pleased with the results. The blueness of that evening was rather enchanting. And you can't even see the moon in the picture!
May: :D
Marigold: :o)
Elai: You're making a scarf? What color? What stitch? To which my answer would be, How beautiful! I love making scarves because they don't take long and you can show them off so well. :D
Lattany: I'm not on TPS forum that much, but it's great to have a place where one can contribute something every now and then. Thanks so much for the kind words!
~Annie Laurie
It's a kind of dark-blue-almost-black, or possibly black-almost-dark-blue. Um. Stiches. I've no idea, really, but I think I was doing a double crochet, or a one-and-a-half, if there is such a thing. I finished it, and put ruffles on the edges because it was uneven, and sent it off to its destination (it's a Christmas present).
Please post... someday... again... :)
