Now, it's February. . .
In nine minutes I'll be heading into Writer's Workshop class with my sister (Ruby), but I actually have a bit of time before then.
A few prayer requests are forthcoming from TPS:
~My former government teacher's wife, MrsF, is dying of brain cancer, and has just been switched to hospice care. She is in extreme pain, cannot move, but is (as far as I know) still fully conscious. Pray for her and also (especially) MrF, who is under tremendous emotional stress at the moment and has a job or three to keep up. Also pray for their kids--a daughter in college, son in highschool. The F's are members of their local PCA church, as far as I know are great Christian people.
~The Potter's School's Thailand trip just got back a couple days ago, and the kids (as usual) have much to ponder after building friendships with missions families from East Asia and spending a week with them and their children. Pray for good fruit, and pray for the families themselves. (one of their major dilemmas is how to educate their children in a highly compromised situation. Pray for them to have wisdom.)

A quote:
Asleep in the mud, he dreamed himself awake on a pedestal.

Praying. Last night I read Luke 7, about the widow, and the commentary I had pointed out that Christ usually raises people from the dead to restore family relationships. It's comforting to see how much He loves and cares for families.
Where does that quote come from?!
I will definitely be praying!!
I'l try to pray for them!
Thanks, girls.
Frodo, that quote comes from the George MacDonald book I was reading last week. It evokes a really good image, doesn't it?
